Business update – April
06 April 2020
The world has changed and oh, how fast…
We’re all getting used to working in a new environment and doing conference calls on our screens at home. We have to change what we do and innovate to remain relevant and useful to our customers and those around us.
In this spirit, we are re-launching JayThom as EngageRM, standing for Engage Relationship Management. Our business and core products, EngageRM and CouncilRM, remain as strong as ever but with ‘a new set of clothes’.
While this has been planned for some time, we’re using the new environment to invest heavily in our products and to ensure that both our customers and our business can come out of this situation stronger and better than before.
We have already launched a number of initiatives to help our clients and more are on the way. In the coming days, weeks and months, we’ll have more news which we look forward to sharing with you.
EngageRM began life as JayThom in 1999, became a Microsoft certified partner in 2003 and launched the CouncilRM (2008) and EngageRM (2010) and. Since then we have and slowly but surely built a reputation as one of the leaders in sports technology and the council / municipal environments.
In the past six months, the business has been recapitalised, enabling us to invest in new roles and expand our offering beyond Australia’s shores to the US market. I have joined the team as CEO, while founder Brett Yorgey can now focus entirely on his beloved babies (our products EngageRM and CouncilRM) as Chief Product Officer. Experienced and successful tech veteran Neil Mckinnon joins as Chief Information Officer.
This is exciting news for existing customers, as we develop new and greatly improved functionality that will be available to everyone with existing deployments on the platform.
Concurrently, we are working closely with Microsoft in the US to ensure that EngageRM is at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into everything we do. I’m pleased to say that we are well-advanced in doing this in a way that we believe will be ground-breaking for our customers.
Our business is founded on enabling our clients to engage, communicate and align with their own customers and partners. In an ever-more disconnected world, where relationships are more important than ever before, we are aiming to find every way possible to allow you to understand your customers and communicate with them in a meaningful way.
We felt that the name EngageRM – Engage Relationship Management – encompasses this approach well.
This is a ‘soft launch’, meaning simply that we will not be releasing all of the elements of the brand at once. Thus, in the coming weeks & months, you are likely to see the new EngageRM, SportsRM and CouncilRM branding alongside the existing JayThom and product logos.
We felt that even though not every piece of collateral is ready, this was as good a time as any to put our new brand into the marketplace.
I lead a team that is more committed than ever to supporting and enabling sustainable, systematic and intelligent growth.
We are working hard on delivering benefits that mean your businesses can be better, stronger, and more meaningful to your own communities. We look forward to working with you to build the future of engagement in Australia and around the world.
Yours sincerely,
Ned Coten | CEO EngageRM
