Brice (pronounced Chris but with a B) joined our team as a developer in August 2021 and now works on an array of clients. Hailing from France, Brice has held a lifelong passion for all things tech and learning, which he marries in his current role.
How would you explain your role at EngageRM?
BW: So, I am a .NET developer within the professional services team, I am also involved in some R&D projects around our platform, and I also work on a range of tools that can hopefully make our clients lives a little easier.
What does an ordinary day look like for you?
BW: I usually begin the day with the development team stand up meeting where we all discuss what we are working on and what we wrapped up the day before. It’s short, but it is also there so any questions or issues can be raised and the team can all help out, so no one is in the dark. After that, I’m working on a variety of tasks that usually involve coding or are in and around the CRM, with a few other meetings scattered throughout the day.
Have you always had an interest in technology?
BW: Since I was a kid! I loved video games and electronics, but once I finished school, I was a bit lost on what I wanted to do, then once I started studying, I discovered programming and coding and that set me on my path. Since then, I’ve been continually learning and developing my skills, and now I’m here!
What are some of your favourite things about working for EngageRM?
BW: Number one for me is the flexibility both in where I work and the workday itself. This year for example, I returned home France for a few months and I’m extremely lucky and grateful EngageRM allowed me to do that. Like I mentioned, my workday is flexible as well which is great for me as I welcomed my first child at the start of this year and that flexibility means I’ve been able to work next to her every day since she joined us in January. Also, the people I work with are great and everyone works hard but is also open for a chat as well.
What are you aiming to achieve with the work you do?
BW: I’m just happy to be part of the journey with EngageRM and to play my part in helping the company reach its goals. That is something that I think is really cool, being on that journey.
What excites you both professionally and personally?
BW: For both it centres around learning, whether it’s at work or at home, learning something new is really stimulating for me. I think when you discover something and you start using those new skills, it’s really exciting.
