It’s been over 11 years since Felix joined EngageRM in our development team, and since then he has become a key member who is always ready to help. With a natural knack for coding and all things development, it makes sense why Felix loves what he does as our Development Lead & Architect.
How would you explain your role to someone outside of EngageRM?
FH: So, I am a developer within the broader development team, and I help the team design solutions for any product requirements or any issues arising within our suite of existing products. I also work closely with the product and support teams to help with any issues or builds they may need.
What does a typical day entail for you?
FH: We start our day with the stand-up meeting with the development team so we all have visibility over what everyone will be doing. Then the rest of my day is spent building and coding, which are my favourite things to do, and some days I might also have some proof of concept work to do with our latest developments.
How did you find yourself in the coding and development space?
FH: From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by coding and love a logical puzzle, so it’s always been a natural fit for me. From there I started some computer short courses where I learnt about building queries and solving issues. That’s where my passion really started to build.
What’s your favourite thing about working for EngageRM?
FH: It’s a privilege to work with such an amazing group of people, because everyone has the opportunity to grow and learn new things and they really take that with both hands. Also being one of Microsoft’s ISV partners allows us the unique opportunity to work closely with the Microsoft team to learn about the latest offerings and continue to shape our platform as well.
What are you aiming to achieve with the work that you do?
FH: I want to make the world a better place and make the lives of our clients easier. It’s always a great joy to receive positive feedback after creating really user-friendly software, which is what I aim to do. If I can help them by creating a user-friendly solution that gives clients some time back into their day, then I’m happy.
What excites you at the moment?
FH: I’m really excited about all the new emerging technology that is coming out at the moment and how it is solving or streamlining so many aspects of our day to day lives.
