Hi, I’m Joshua Gormaz
But you can call me Josh
I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley area, just to the north of Los Angeles
But I’m currently in the greater Los Angeles area.
You’ll find me eating sushi, it’s the one food that I can have for every meal of the day, if it were possible.
And you’ll see me drinking water as my preferred day-to-day drink, but when I’m out and about I always enjoy a gin & tonic.
A sports moment I’ll never forget is my very first NFL game. My father made the trip a surprise by stating that he wanted to take a causal Sunday road trip, which seemed odd to me given football Sunday was a tradition in our home but I shrugged it off.
After a few hours of driving, I notice that we’re driving up to Qualcomm Field where the Buffalo Bills were in town to play the San Diego Chargers. Although the game was a blowout with the Chargers winning 37-10, I will always remember scanning my very own ticket and smelling the concessions as I navigated the venue. Seeing the avid fans in person that you normally see on TV and hearing the roar of the crowd for the first time was a memory I’ll never forget.
The sports venue you’ll have trouble getting me out of is U.S. Bank Stadium.
I idolise my father. He was a fantastic example of integrity, kindness, and tenacity towards his goals that has greatly impacted who I am today.
On the weekend you’ll find me reading up on the latest sports news, watching documentaries, playing sports, trying out new restaurants, and exploring new spaces and parts of town.
I’m always happy to talk about sports (most of all the NFL and NBA), animal facts, problem-solving, and learning from others through their experiences.
Something you may not know about me is I have visited 13 zoos and animal preserves to-date with the goal of reaching 50.
Josh would love to hear from you. Here are the details...
