Hi, I’m Martin Sheppard
I was born and raised in Birkenhead, England
But I’m currently in Melbourne, Australia
You’ll find me eating a grass-fed steak at a BBQ with friends or at a good restaurant with friends
And you’ll see me drinking a nice glass of red wine, it goes with the meat
A sports moment I’ll never forget is watching Steve Ovett beat Seb Coe in the 800m final in Moscow in 1980… because he wasn’t supposed to
I idolise Steve Ovett, he was cheeky, displayed a rebellious personality and loved beating everyone and waving to them as he finished the race… so talented
On the weekend you’ll find me coaching athletics, trying to keep reasonably fit and travelling around
I’m always happy to talk about life, we only have one, so let’s make the biggest difference to the world and enjoy the company of others
Something you may not know about me is I’m scared of heights, which was difficult with I was a high jumper when I was younger
