Hi, I’m Namira Adani
I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia
But/and I’m currently in Melbourne, Australia
You’ll find me eating Soto Padang, It’s a type of vegetable soup with crunchy meat, thin rice noodles and crackers from my hometown, West Sumatera, Indonesia, rich of flavour and perfect for cold weather. Make sure you try it out if you visit Indonesia!
And you’ll see me drinking strawberry milk, for some reason I always feel energised afterwards
A sports moment I’ll never forget is Australian Boomers vs USA at Marvel Stadium in 2019. Patty Mills was electric and after a nerve racking game, the Boomers won!
The sports venue you’ll have trouble getting me out of is John Cain Arena, but I think it’ll be the MCG once I attend a footy match there which I’ll hopefully get to do soon
I idolise Lauren Jackson, she changed the game in women’s basketball. She was strong in the key areas and dangerous at the 3-point line, a lethal combination
On the weekend you’ll find me learning how to skateboard or teaching myself data science, so you’ll find me coding or reading articles on that
I’m always happy to talk about helping people, regardless of gender or other barriers, to have equal opportunity to do or learn what they want. I’m privileged that my support system has pushed me to achieve many things and I want to pay that forward
Something you may not know about me is Adani is not my family name, I don’t have one. It is common practice in Indonesia to not pass down a family name to children
