Welcome to episode 3 of our Women’s World Cup series, joining us today is Elsa Mangan!
Elsa is the Women & Girls Project Manager at Football Victoria and a PhD Candidate with Victoria University. Football has been a mainstay in Elsa’s life since she began playing as a child, now she is working to ensure those at the grassroots level can have the same experience as her.
If that wasn’t enough, Elsa is also completing her PhD on Football Australia’s Legacy 23’ plan, evaluating whether the goals around participation are met whilst also highlighting the experience of grassroots clubs.

A little more on Elsa
With a background in health promotion and a passion for positive change, Elsa works to improve the outcomes for women and girls who engage with grassroots football in Victoria. In her role at Football Victoria, Elsa implements and facilitates multiple programs designed to encourage the participation of women and girls.
Elsa is also currently completing her PhD which focuses on the Legacy 23’ plan to determine its overall success in boosting the participation of women and girls in football across Australia.
