Resh joined the EngageRM team just over a year ago, and since then she has become a well-loved member of our staff! As our Digital Marketing Coordinator, Resh oversees both internal and external branding as well as managing our LinkedIn page plus much more.
How would you explain your role at EngageRM?
RJ: There are two sides to what I do, firstly I handle all of the internal digital marketing, managing how we interact with our brand and social media, and the other side is taking care of the graphic design and managing the branding. Both of these together help me create awareness of our brand and engage our target publics on platforms like LinkedIn. I also just make sure the branding is consistent across the business.
What does an ordinary day look like for you?
RJ: First thing I do when I log on is scour LinkedIn for potential stories we can share on the EngageRM page or share an article or media release if we have one. Then I’ll tackle the projects that come across my desk. I don’t usually have a set routine of things I do each day, its more dependent on what projects are happening. So, it’s usually the focus on creating brand collaterals or documentation. I’ve also started to join a few client calls and gain my Microsoft Marketing certification.
Have you always had an interest in working in the sports industry?
RJ: I haven’t always had an interest working in the sport industry even though I have always loved sport because as I was growing up, I never felt like it was an option to work there. I only realised that I could work in the industry after watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015. That was the moment where I saw the attention women’s football was attracting and thought, ‘that’s what I want to do, I want to work in sport’.
What are some of your favourite things about working for EngageRM?
RJ: The people I work with is one thing that stands out. It’s nice to work for a company where everybody helps each other and is just so kind, the banter is also always top notch. The other aspect I love is the field we operate in, I never really thought that I would work in the sports technology industry but I’m learning so much. One of the things I’m doing currently is designing the product documentation files and whilst I design, I’m also reading and learning at the same time.
What are you aiming to achieve with the work you do?
RJ: I really want to build EngageRM’s presence in the sports and entertainment world, just making sure we have a presence and are becoming known in the industry. Also, I want to ensure that what we put out into the world paints a really strong first impression that we are a professional and market leading organisation.
What excites you both professionally and personally?
RJ: Professionally, I’ve just started the process to become certified in Microsoft Marketing, so I’m excited to learn more and master the system. Personally, I’ll be seeing my sister and her two children at the end of the year. Due to borders being closed I haven’t been able to see them for almost 3 years so I’m excited for that!
